STATEMENT
"I have been courting fire through glass for over thirty years, and a few sparks have flown during that time. However, the work I am currently developing is the language of the flame transformed into art that speaks for itself.
Over the past ten years, my work has taken a new and interesting direction, and in that process, despite the countless challenges that an artist's daily life presents, I have managed to resonate through my experience, my passion, and my absolute dedication to this craft.
Generally starting from flat surfaces and sometimes through the superposition of these surfaces that strive to create three-dimensional spaces with a progression of vibrant visual effects, I desire my work to be an interactive experience between the viewer and the various areas of the work. Depending on their position relative to the work, and through the refraction or reflection of glass and other materials, an unparalleled experience is experienced. They allow the creation of a series of dynamic contrasts that interfere with each other and create a virtual effect, which makes the use of color theory more interesting. Through light passing through glass, the theory becomes more dynamic, creating a ceaseless movement where the material seems to emerge to create a new special optical effect within a form. Drawing lines with fire and sand is one of the greatest gifts God has given me, reflecting my deepest feelings and emotions. For this reason, I give a part of my heart to each piece I make, and the best I can do with my hands. And if I had the chance to live another life, I would ask for it to be through glass again, because the connection with my being is totally and absolutely grounded in the creation of small, medium, and large objects through glass. That feeling will always be doing what I call Music for the Eyes...
